We Do Not Use Any Material Whose Brand We Cannot Name

“Premium materials”, “German technology”, “best quality” — the most worn-out phrases in dental marketing carry no verifiable information. At GC Clinic one rule applies: the brand, model and lot number of every material placed in your mouth is written into your file and handed to you. Nothing unverifiable is used; no counterfeit or parallel-import products.

This is not only ethics but practice: without a documented lot number, the manufacturer warranty cannot be invoked, a future dentist cannot identify the right part, and counterfeit risk cannot be audited. Documentation is the precondition of our written warranty.

Implant fixtures

Only two brands: Straumann and Nobel Biocare.

Straumann — Switzerland, 1954

Global market leader with decades of clinical follow-up literature. SLActive surface supports healing; Roxolid titanium-zirconium alloy provides high strength even in narrow diameters. Serial numbers are verifiable through the manufacturer.

Nobel Biocare — Sweden/USA, 1965

Founder of modern implantology, born from Prof. Brånemark’s osseointegration research, and originator of the All-on-4 concept. Decades of peer-reviewed follow-up; serial numbers verifiable.

Why only two brands? Because the real criterion in implants is long-term clinical data: will parts be available in ten years, has the literature followed this system, does a dentist anywhere recognise it? We work with the two strongest systems on those criteria — and we do not switch brands for promotions.

The world standard for porcelain veneers and all-ceramic crowns; high translucency for a natural look. Our veneer material of choice.

Ivoclar composites

Tetric EvoCeram and Empress Direct for aesthetic bonding and fillings; colour stability and wear resistance are clinically documented.

European-sourced zirconia

CAD-CAM-milled European zirconia blocks for implant crowns and bridges, produced in our in-house laboratory.

Geistlich Bio-Oss / Bio-Gide

Swiss biomaterials for bone grafting and membranes — the most researched product family in regenerative dentistry.

How can I tell a counterfeit implant?

Genuine implants have a manufacturer-registered serial/lot number that can be verified. Ask your clinic for the brand and lot number in writing — if it cannot be provided, be cautious. At GC Clinic this document (the Implant Passport) is standard.

Why Straumann and Nobel Biocare only?

Decades of clinical follow-up data, peer-reviewed literature, worldwide parts availability and official verification systems — the measures of long-term reliability.

Which material is used for my veneers?

IPS e.max (Ivoclar) lithium disilicate; the material brand is written into your file.

Can I ask for a cheaper implant brand?

We do not flex on implant brand — we stay within the two systems. If budget planning is needed, treatment is staged; the brand is not downgraded.
