We Use No Material Whose Brand We Cannot Name

“Premium material”, “German technology”, “the finest quality” — the most worn-out phrases in dental marketing contain no verifiable information at all. At our clinic a single rule applies instead: the brand, model and lot number of every material that goes into your mouth is recorded in your treatment file and handed to you. Nothing that cannot be verified is used.

The reason for this transparency is not only ethical but practical: a manufacturer guarantee cannot be invoked for an implant whose brand and lot number are undocumented, a future clinician cannot find the right component, and the risk of a counterfeit or parallel import cannot be checked. Documentation is a precondition of our written guarantee.

The implant body

Two brands only: Straumann and Nobel Biocare.

Straumann — Switzerland, 1954

The leading manufacturer in the world implantology market, with decades of clinical follow-up literature behind it. SLActive surface technology supports the healing period, and the Roxolid titanium-zirconium alloy gives high strength even in narrow diameters. The serial number of every implant can be verified through the manufacturer’s official system.

Nobel Biocare — Sweden/USA, 1965

The founder of modern implantology: the first commercial implant system, born of Prof. Brånemark’s osseointegration research, and the developer of the All-on-4 full-arch concept. The product family has been followed in peer-reviewed research for decades, and serial numbers can be verified.

Why only two brands? Because the real measure in implantology is long-term clinical follow-up data: will you be able to find a component for that implant in ten years, has the literature followed that system, will a clinician anywhere in the world recognise it? We work with the two strongest systems by those measures, and we do not switch brands for promotions. Implant planning is the responsibility of Specialist Dentist G. Cansu Öztürk.

Restorations and cosmetic work

Materials for veneers, crowns and fillings.

IPS e.max (Ivoclar) — lithium disilicate

The world standard for porcelain veneers and full-ceramic crowns. Its high translucency gives a natural tooth appearance; it is the core material of our veneer work.

Ivoclar composites

Tetric EvoCeram and Empress Direct for cosmetic bonding and fillings; their colour stability and wear resistance are documented in clinical research.

European-made zirconia

Geistlich Bio-Oss and Bio-Gide

Swiss-made Geistlich biomaterials are chosen where a bone graft or membrane is needed — the most extensively researched product family in regenerative dentistry.

Our in-house laboratory

Control over materials begins in production.

Our veneers and crowns are not sent out; they are made in our in-house CAD-CAM laboratory, with a record of which block each restoration was made from. This keeps the material chain documented without a break and allows the try-in and adjustment cycle to be completed the same day. In a high-volume model production is farmed out to external laboratories, whereas in a boutique model such as ours the production of every restoration is followed under one roof.

Hygiene

Sterilisation is part of the same commitment.

Dental prosthetics and material processing — quality control

Instruments are autoclaved in our separate sterilisation unit after every patient, and single-use consumables are opened at the chairside. Infection control is as much a part of treatment quality as the implant or the ceramic we use.

Every component used is recorded in writing.

At the end of treatment this information is handed to you in writing along with your guarantee document.

How can you tell a counterfeit Straumann implant?

Orijinal implantların üretici kayıtlı seri/lot numarası vardır ve resmî doğrulama sisteminden kontrol edilebilir. Kliniğinizden implantın marka ve lot numarasını yazılı isteyin — verilemiyorsa temkinli olun. Kliniğimizde bu belge (Implant Passport) standart olarak teslim edilir.

Why only Straumann and Nobel Biocare?

Decades of clinical follow-up data, a density of peer-reviewed publication, worldwide availability of components and an official verification infrastructure — these are the measures of long-term reliability. We work with the two strongest systems by those measures.

How do I verify the brand used?

Any dentist can verify it through the manufacturer’s official system using the lot number on the document handed to you.

Which material is used for my veneers?

Porselen laminelerde IPS e.max (Ivoclar) lityum disilikat; estetik bondinglerde Ivoclar compositesi. Malzeme markası tedavi dosyanıza işlenir.

Which is better, zirconia or e.max?

They are materials for different indications: e.max is chosen at the front where superior appearance and translucency are needed, zirconia at the back where chewing forces are high and for implant-supported work. The choice is made case by case and explained with its reasoning.

Can I ask for a cheaper implant brand?

We do not compromise on implant brand; we do not go outside the two systems. If the budget needs planning, the treatment is staged — the brand is not downgraded.
