Dental Implants in Istanbul: Straumann & Nobel Biocare, Documented

A dental implant is a titanium root placed in the jawbone to replace a missing tooth, restored with a crown on top. Placed without touching neighbouring teeth, it prevents bone loss and, with proper care, serves for decades.

At our clinic in Nişantaşı, Istanbul, every implant is exclusively Straumann (Switzerland) or Nobel Biocare (Sweden/USA). In our boutique model, case numbers are deliberately limited: the same specialist plans your treatment and follows you to the final check-up — no hand-offs, no production line.

Traceability

You know exactly which implant you received — in writing.

Implant Passport

Brand, model, diameter, length and lot number are recorded during surgery and handed to you with your warranty. A dentist anywhere in the world can verify your components.

Why only two brands?

Decades of clinical follow-up data, peer-reviewed research and worldwide parts availability. Ten years from now, your dentist at home will still find the right component.

Written warranty

The implant fixture is covered by a 10-year written warranty; Straumann and Nobel Biocare manufacturer guarantees apply in addition.

The process

How dental implant treatment works.

1

Examination & CT scan

Bone volume, nerve and sinus positions are measured on 3D tomography. Your written, itemised plan is prepared.

2

Placement

Implant placement under local anaesthesia; where bone allows, flapless (no-incision) technique reduces swelling. A temporary solution is planned when needed.

3

Healing

Osseointegration takes roughly 2–4 months depending on bone quality — the implant fuses with bone.

4

Crown & follow-up

The final crown is made in our in-house CAD-CAM laboratory. Annual check-ups keep your warranty valid.

Indications

When is an implant the right choice — and when is it not?

An implant is recommended when a tooth is genuinely lost or cannot be restored. If a tooth can be saved with root canal treatment or restoration, saving it comes first — no implant fully replaces a natural root. This conservative principle is the foundation of our clinic.

If bone volume is insufficient, bone grafting (Geistlich Bio-Oss / Bio-Gide) or sinus lifting is planned in advance and written into the plan. For full-arch cases, All-on-4 places four angled implants supporting a fixed bridge — often with provisional fixed teeth the same day.

Frequently asked

Dental implants — your questions.

How long do dental implants last?

With proper planning, good hygiene and regular check-ups, implants serve for decades; long-term studies report 20+ years of follow-up. Peri-implantitis (gum disease around implants) and smoking are the main risks.

Is implant treatment painful?

Placement is done under local anaesthesia and is generally described as easier than a tooth extraction. Mild swelling for a few days is normal and managed with medication.

Which implant brands do you use?

Exclusively Straumann and Nobel Biocare. Brand and lot number are documented and given to you in writing (Implant Passport).

How much do dental implants cost in Istanbul?

Cost depends on the number of implants, the brand, whether grafting is needed and the type of crown. A price quoted without examination and a CT scan is unreliable; we provide a written, fixed quote after a free consultation. Various payment options are available.

Can I get the implant and the crown on the same trip?

Usually two visits are needed (placement and, after healing, the crown). In selected cases immediate loading is possible — this is assessed on your CT scan. Online follow-up is available between visits.

Is there a warranty?

Yes — 10 years in writing on the implant fixture, with scope and conditions stated on the warranty document.
