Porcelain veneers

Porcelain Veneers in Istanbul: e.max, Minimal Preparation, Mock-Up First

Porcelain veneers are 0.3–0.5 mm ceramic shells bonded to the front surface of the teeth to correct colour, shape, small gaps and worn edges. Planned correctly, about ninety percent of natural tooth structure is preserved; in suitable cases no-prep veneers require no drilling at all.

At our clinic in Nişantaşı, Istanbul, veneers are made from IPS e.max (Ivoclar) lithium disilicate in our in-house laboratory, and every case starts with Digital Smile Design: an iTero scan and a mock-up trial on your own teeth before anything irreversible happens.

Our approach

Why our veneers are conservative by design.

0.3–0.5 mm, not a full crown

A full crown removes 60–70% of the tooth; a veneer removes a fraction of the enamel. We do not recommend crowns for purely aesthetic goals on healthy front teeth.

Mock-up before commitment

You see and approve the planned smile on your own teeth as a temporary mock-up. Adjustments happen at this stage — not after.

In-house laboratory

Colour and margin fit are checked and refined the same day. No shipping to outside labs, no anonymous materials.

Written warranty

Crowns and veneers carry a 5-year written warranty; scope and conditions are stated on the document.

The process

Typically two visits, about a week apart.

1

Consultation & scan

Examination, iTero digital scan, photos. We discuss whether veneers, bonding or whitening best fit your goal.

2

Mock-up trial

Your planned smile is tried on your teeth. Shape, length and shade are refined with you.

3

Preparation & temporaries

Minimal enamel preparation (or none, for no-prep cases); temporary veneers protect the teeth.

4

Bonding & check-up

Final e.max veneers are bonded; bite is checked; care instructions and warranty are handed over.

Frequently asked

Porcelain veneers — your questions.

Do veneers damage the teeth?

With minimal-prep technique only 0.3–0.5 mm of enamel is refined; in no-prep cases nothing is removed. Damage comes from over-preparation and poor planning, which we avoid by design.

How long do porcelain veneers last?

e.max veneers commonly last 10–15 years or longer with good care; night guards are advised for patients who grind. Ours carry a 5-year written warranty.

Veneers vs crowns — which do I need?

Veneers for colour, shape and minor alignment on structurally sound teeth; crowns only when the tooth has lost substantial structure. We tell you honestly which applies to you.

How much do veneers cost in Istanbul?

It depends on the number of teeth, material and whether a no-prep or minimal-prep technique is possible. We quote in writing after a free consultation; the quote stays fixed. Various payment options are available.

Can it be done in one trip?

Yes — typically 5–7 days in Istanbul covering scan, mock-up, preparation and bonding. Online consultation beforehand shortens the visit.

Are composite veneers an option?

Composite bonding suits small, localised corrections in a single visit; porcelain is superior for colour stability and full smile makeovers. We recommend based on your case, not on price.
