Dr G. Cansu Öztürk is the owner and Clinical Director of GC Clinic, the boutique dental practice in Nişantaşı founded in 1985 by Prof. Dr. Semih Özbayrak. A specialist in endodontics (root canal treatment), she personally carries out the clinic’s aesthetic dentistry — porcelain veneers, cosmetic bonding and smile design — as well as its root canal treatment. She graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry at Ege University in 2010 and completed her specialist training between 2012 and 2016 in the Department of Endodontics at Marmara University, under the mentorship of the clinic’s academic founder, Professor Semih Özbayrak.

From 2016 to 2019 she was an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Endodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry of Yeni Yüzyıl University, where she taught, ran the department and led clinical research. That academic background is the foundation of the evidence-based, conservative approach she practises today.

She is a member of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE), the American Association of Endodontists (AAE), the Turkish Endodontic Society (TED) and the Turkish Dental Association (TDB).

Publications and research.

Operative Dentistry (2018): “Influence of Different Restoration Techniques on Fracture Resistance of Root-filled Teeth” — an in vitro study of how different restoration techniques affect the fracture resistance of root-filled teeth, published in a peer-reviewed international journal.

Her interest in aesthetic dentistry has academic roots: her final thesis at Ege University was on aesthetic dentistry, and that grounding underpins the aesthetic precision she brings to Digital Smile Design and veneer cases today. Her research into stem cell applications and probiotics in endodontics is ongoing, and her work has been presented as oral and poster papers at national and international congresses.

This research discipline feeds straight back into the clinic: our root canal treatment protocols are set by the current literature, not by marketing trends.

Aesthetic dentistry

Veneers, bonding and smile design: one clinician, one principle.

Aesthetic cases at our clinic are planned and carried out by Dr Cansu Öztürk. Her interest in aesthetic dentistry goes back to her student years: she wrote her final thesis at Ege University on the subject and has since attended the aesthetic dentistry courses of EDAD, the Turkish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry.

Her sequence is conservative: first she checks whether the problem can be solved with bonding, whitening or orthodontics. Where porcelain veneers are needed, only 0.3–0.5 mm of enamel is reduced from the front of the tooth, and the result is tried in the mouth as a mock-up before any irreversible step. Veneers are made from Ivoclar IPS e.max in our in-house laboratory and are covered by our written warranty.

Endodontics under the microscope

Root canal treatment and root canal retreatment cases are carried out by a specialist under a dental operating microscope. This covers hidden canals, calcifications and perforation repairs.

Implant-supported prosthetics and full-mouth rehabilitation

From a single missing tooth to full-arch All-on-4 and All-on-6 protocols, implant planning is handled here, and the superstructures are produced in our in-house CAD-CAM laboratory.

Digital Smile Design and veneers

Planned with an iTero digital scan: porcelain veneers (e.max) and aesthetic bonding. No irreversible step is taken without a mock-up trial first.

Bruxism and the jaw joint (TMJ)

Night guards, masseter botulinum toxin treatment and joint therapy; managing the wear and pain caused by clenching.
